British girls won’t have problems going topless on beaches, provided that it is not done during their UK holidays but whenever they are out of the country. Bikinis are the swimwear of choice for British girls but they wont be wearing them for very long.
According to a survey conducted by Debenhams, more than half of the respondents say that they can take their tops off when they are on a foreign holiday. However, it was a different way around whenever they are in one of their UK holidays.
The major reason why they won’t do it in their home turf is the fear that they might be recognized by someone that they know.
About a third of the one thousand respondents surveyed by the retail giant said that they feel comfortable going topless abroad because most foreign men are used to these scenario.
A representative for Debenhams said that based on their local sales, British beaches are bound to look like a set in the fifties with women wearing conservative swimwear.
A new research released by Leger Holidays revealed that those availing of singles holidays are not only composed of those who are not in relationships.
The demographic showed that there are couples who decide to spend holidays separately because they have not agreed when it comes to where to go during their annual vacation breaks.
Leger Holidays polled more than a thousand respondents before coming up with this conclusion.
Most of the couples they interviewed said that they have different preferences when it comes to spending the holidays and have come to a mutual decision to spend it separately for the meantime. This does not mean, however, that they have ended their relationship.
Some of the couples believe that this is a welcome development since they have not spent some alone time during the relationship.
The data revealed that women are more cautious when it comes to availing of singles holidays than men.

There will be lesser number in the list of holidays for this year if Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s plan will be approved.
According to reports, Nixon is planning to scrap three state holidays as a part of the belt-tightening procedures he’d implement to boost state revenues.
Nixon plans to remove Truman Day on May 8, the day after Thanksgiving, among others.
Truman Day is celebrated in honor of the only Missouri-based President of the United States. This year, the holiday has been scheduled on May 7 instead of 8 because the latter falls on a weekend.
Nixon said that each holiday costs the state about 1.2 million dollars due to overtime and other compensations given to employees due to holidays. He said that it is a difficult decision for him but something has to be done.
Budget Director Linda Luebbering said that if the move pushes through, the state will save more than $3 million each year.

In key periods during the year, pupils should not go in holiday expeditions without consent from the school. These key periods include the first six weeks of any academic year.
In years ten and eleven, no holidays will be allowed and even during year six SATs week.
Schools can also implement their individual time tables where they won’t approve holidays.

A number of holiday homes in the New Zealand district of Taupo are being targeted by burglars. This was revealed by authorities after several spate of robberies in the area.
According to the Taupo police, seven out of ten recent burglaries that took place in the area were staged on vacant properties. These are holiday homes vacated by owners who opted to live elsewhere at a significant length of time.
Stuart Duncan, the Taupo Acting Senior Sergeant, has advised the residents in the area to communicate with neighbors before they go on a vacation in order for them to look over to the place from time to time to avoid such occurrences in the future.
Duncan said that hot water cylinders are among the major items taken away by burglars to these holiday homes. Even houses that were up for sale are also being robbed by thieves. At least they aren’t stealing the sexy lingerie you bought for the wife.
