A partnership between Sports Illustrated and Gilt now aims to benefit nature conversation efforts. The partnership, which supposedly came after the debut of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, aims to help protect the environment.

The partnership will also coincide with a Gilt sale, which includes swimsuits, surfboards, photographs and event tickets to consumers. All of the proceeds of the sale will be donated to The Nature Conservancy to preserve the beaches Sports Illustrated features in its pages.

The Gilt sale will also mean that Sports Illustrated will not make immediate money from purchased goods but its swimsuit issue will gain exposure. The exposure supposedly will come via in-sale messaging on the Gilt site. The sale, which will be advertised in-book in a special section, kicks off on February 14; the same day the Swimsuit edition hits newsstands.

Meanwhile, Quiksilver will provide a set of two surfboards for sale, and staff from Sports Illustrated collated a list of over 100 designers whose bathing suits are seen in the Swimsuit issue.

Sports Illustrated senior editor MJ Day said that 10 designers were invited to showcase their products and were also asked to donate the same.

“We have 26 million female readers, with a 70/30 [male/female] percent readership. Like SI, Gilt has a vast audience of both men and women,” says Day.

?“We thought it would be a perfect alignment between our two brands. Women read our magazine for the fashion, accessories and vacation ideas. Men read it for the more obvious reasons.”

California carries a leading influence on swimwear styles, however Pooja Kharbanda hopes to symbolize a bit of Panama and New York beach culture with her 6 Shore Road label that’s coming up.

In 2010, Kharbanda debuted 6 Shore Road line. The name was encouraged by Sunset Beach on New York’s Shelter Island, a well known escape for Manhattanites. Kharbanda grew up in Panama but spent much of her adult life in New York.

The debut collection, which is targeting women ages 18 to 35, aims and will focus on cover ups and dresses for now. Kharbanda has also made public that she is not a swimmer and that she’s a beach-to-the-bar person. For the debut Resort ’12 collection, the designer consists of plenty of Panamanian accents.

A number of the label’s styles feature the stripe designs of the native Kuna people of Panama. The 6 Shore Road’s Resort ’12 collection’s look book was shot in the unspoiled town of Bocas del Toro, situated on the Caribbean side of Panama.

Other than the label travels north for its silhouettes. The products are American-cut and present additional exposure than skimpy Brazilian-cut bikinis, which have established well-liked in the past decade.

Kharbanda said that fashion also is a top concern for the line and that she wanted to introduce more than just a standard triangle bikini.

A few of 6 Shore Road’s signature swim looks consist of the “Vista” swimsuit, a one-shoulder maillot with ruched shoulder strap and waist detail. Also the “Punta,” which is designed a two-piece with revealing net panelling on the hips. And lastly, the “Isla Grande” which is a one-piece suit with crochet panelling in the midriff.

Wholesale price for the label’s separates are about $32 and less. And for the one-pieces, the wholesale prices are $50 and less. The ready-to-wear’s wholesale prices are $105 and less.

Stinger Swimsuits are design full body and has long sleeves and long legs swimsuits. It is used for all swimming activities and/or diving in water temperatures above 25 °C (77 °F). Customarily these swimsuits were made from swimwear materials such as Spandex or Lycra and offer modest thermal protection, but accomplish protecting the skin from jellyfish stings, abrasion and sunburn. Though the new suits are much more better-quality in fabric quality and present additional protection features. These kinds of stinger swimsuits are also recognized as dive skins.

So why use one? The original stinger swimsuit was produced to make available protection against jellyfish stings, for this reason the name ‘stinger suit’ was given. But, with the unearthing of the sun UV radiation effect on skin and the harm it can cause, these suits became the corner stone for the movement to teach people about the hazards of sun bathing and how to guard the skin by using sunscreen and wearing sun protection clothing. These swimsuits not only offer protection against jellyfish stingers and sea lice, it can also guard against the sun damaging UVA and UVB radiation which eventually causes skin cancer. Stingers suits fit like the wearers second-skin; they are comfy to wear, fashionable and are used by top surfers internationally for use in extreme sports due to its toughness and capability to endure sea waters and harsh environment.

The innovative generation of full body stinger swimsuits can be used with corresponding sun protection hood, UV gloves and socks for complete skin cover-up; they use scientifically advanced fabric made in particular for utilizing in extreme environment circumstances, not only for prolonging fabric life and functions, but to make sure the skin is very well protected aligned with the sun UV radiation which causes skin cancer, and guard from under water animal stings which causes brutal discomfort and poisoning in extreme cases.

is a women’s swimwear designer based in California. They have now stretched out their reach to the global aspect. This is for their online retail store that now has a new currency converter and payment processing feature that accepts a number of international currencies to date. In addition to the U.S. dollar (USD) currency that is used universally everywhere, Girls4Sport.net now accepts currencies like the Euro (EUR) and currencies for Australia (AUD), Canada (CAD), Great Britain (GBP), Hong Kong (HKD), India (INR), Japan (JPY), New Zealand (NZD), Singapore (SGD), South Africa (ZAR), Switzerland (CHF), and United Arab Emirates (AED).

Kim Ruby, the President of Girls4Sport, says that for international customers, they wanted to take the guess work out of estimating what their products cost in their local currency. Because of this, the customers can simply select the currency from the drop down menu on their home page and then the site will display all of the prices in the selected currency automatically.

When a customer does make a pay for it using a credit or debit card denominated in a supported currency that is not USD, the payment is then converted from that currency to the local currency, or the other way around, by the card holder’s bank or Credit Card Company. Conversion fees may apply, they said.

Girls4Sport designs have this fashionable product that is a UV-protective swimwear for both women and children with fabrics that are rated at UPF 50+ to make available utmost protection to the wearer, from the sun. The line’s characteristics perfectly mixes and matches swim separates in a diversity of styles and coverage choices to choose from, as well as long and short sleeve rash guards, tankini tops, coordinating swim bottoms, boardshorts, swim skirts, and a whole lot more modest swimsuit and swimwear options to choose from.

Mark Loher woke up grateful for a sunny, mild afternoon as he walked way downtown Santa Rosa’s transit mall in a skimpy swimsuit last Friday and offered $2 bills to bus riders.

A sales director with the local Internet provider Sonic.net, Loher, was dedicated to pulling off the stunt while even just had the cold, because of the miserable rain that has been blowing through the bus corridor like ice bullets. That is the reason why he was really overjoyed to catch a few rays the next day.

A number of the folks he approached while clutching a few of 50 $2 bills received him really warmly as like the spring-like weather and a few, not unexpectedly, blew him off their paths.

He said that he got every response from those that even ask ‘Can I have two?’ to ‘I don’t care if you’re giving away money, stay away from me!’

Loher, who is a fit and good-natured fellow that is almost his 50’s, only wore on him his Speedo and doled cash at the bus mall because that is what he promised his Sonic sales staff that he would do if the team bore down and met or exceeded its most recent sales goal. And they did.

Quite a lot of Loher’s colleagues came along to savor the sight of him confronting strangers in this most unusual way and asking if he might offer to help them with bus fare. A number of dumbfounded looks on faces broke into wide smiles as folks noticed the backside of his red suit was inscribed with the “Sonic.net” logo.

Loher’s Colleague David Brown said Loher’s performance really was a pleasure to behold because, along with the people who wanted no part of his offer, were some who accepted a $2 bill and glowed at the random if peculiar act of kindness

The cold weather may have just arrived, but the Jersey Shore‘s JWoww is thinking of their summer collection as she debuts her new line of swimwear this year.

Perfect Tan Bikini and JWoww have merged together to the release of a new line of swimsuit, according to their official website – www.jwowwptb.com.

The silicone is activated by heat the body produces. So as you are heating up under the sun, you won’t have to worry about your swimsuit sliding down – it will only get more and more secure as it does.

Their swimsuit collection comes in a variety of colours and styles, including a one-piece that amazingly stays in place by a special silicone adhesive, JWoww’s website explains further. You can move around and tan without worrying about the tan lines because there are no straps.

Perfect Tan Bikini says that the silicone lasts for about 20 washes and can be reactivated by using the heat from a blow dryer – yup, that easy. The website also says that the adhesive, a technology they call Stick2U, is made waterproof and hypoallergenic to match the needs of the majority.

JWoww, whose real name is Jenni Farley, has written on their website that he wanted his line to be stylish and functional, so getting the perfect tan could be hassle-free for every consumer who supports his product. He adds that, now one can be sexy and tan-line-free at the same time.

The reality star has appeared in many photos modelling the suit, flaunting her new, slimmer figure with this new product line. Us Weekly has reported that Farley recently lost 15 pounds and has fashioned this new swimsuit line.

The swimsuit’s designs come in leopard print, a bright red, electric blue and black and white with a red lace trim.

JWoww’s swimsuit line will be available in stores February 2012.

Australian swimming champion, Olympic athlete and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Hayley Lewis shares her inspirational story. She was mocked in public at an affectionate age about her weight, she remembers the days spent in her swimsuit by the pool as some of the most susceptible moments in her life.

It was subsequent to her weight gain of 25kg in two years and as she gave birth to her second son Kai that Hayley knew it was time to take control and improve her health.

And at the present she is encouraging other Australians to do the same.

Hayley, who often visits the Clarence Valley to compete in the annual Convent to Main Beach Swim at Yamba, has at the present tied with Kellogg’s to promote myspecialk.com.au, a personalised online weight management plan that is designed to aid people stick to their ambition to lose weight in the new year.

A fresh study by Kellogg’s has revealed that there is 49% of Australian women listed weight loss as their number one new year’s resolution in 2011.

When they were asked what was essential to maintain their resolutions, the survey showed 77% of women said the right foods, 69% said a great exercise plan and another 47% said motivation.

Hayley said that there are a lot of people recognised that they eat too many of the wrong foods too often, which is why weight loss is high on the agenda for many Australians when they write their new year’s resolutions lists. She has struggled with weight for most of her life. The pressure of her career made her an emotional eater and during her time in the pool she had to deal with a lot of diverse things which strongly influenced my diet.

She adds that despite being an athlete and a swimmer, she was never a girl with a small frame and skinny legs, she knew she was bigger. People would see her on TV and when they met me a lot of them said ‘gosh you’re big’ and that affected the way she looked and thought about myself.

She would exercise, but she’d eat more than what her body could burn off and after years of yo-yo dieting and trying weight loss fads she found the best way to manage her weight was to make a conscious decision to change the way she ate and improved her wellbeing.

Hayley said that the key to triumphant weight management was having a personal diet which fits into an individual lifestyle.

Travel agents are now facing criticisms from the public with the latter stating that the former is selling a lot of expensive holiday insurances which can be useless in the long run.

A research facility has been hired to check into the holiday insurance packages offered by nearly thirty travel agencies including the more popular ones such as Thomas Cook, Going Places, First Choice and Thomson.

The research revealed that all of the holiday insurance packages were uncompetitive in terms of the prices. About 17 of the agencies even failed to provide the necessary details on the basic holiday insurance policies that they are selling to the public.

There’s also a discrepancy in the prices offered by some agencies and the ones offered online. In fact, one agent stated that the holiday insurance for a two-week long vacation in Spain could cost nearly 81 pounds. However, the researcher’s saw a package for as long as 20 pounds for the same trip and same time duration.

People going on summer holidays tend to get travel insurance which cover everything from swimwear, clothing, swimming accessories and all travel items.

Hoseasons, a Suffolk-based company which offers holiday ideas and packages at about ten thousand lodges, cottages and caravans across the United Kingdom has been officially bought by Wyndham Worldwide – a US-based holiday company at the aforementioned amount.

The UK company began its humble beginnings 65 years ago. Founded by Wally Hoseason, the company went on to become one of the biggest names in its field. Hoseason’s son James ran the business until 1999 and HgCapital bought the firm in 2003.

Hoseasons sells about 300,000 holiday package deals every year with 15,000 properties scattered across seven countries in Europe. The company successfully sold holidays to families where they could even pack some swimwear and enjoy a family vacation. The company has 280 employees.

Wyndham stated that the takeover is part of the company’s expansion strategy in the United Kingdom.
